Kirsty Miller, my great grandmother, had the house at the back of Groam Cottage. I remember the inside was wood paneled and dark because there was no electricity. The light came from tilly lamps that hissed and there was a black grate with a big black kettle that was swung over the open fire when hot water was required.

The woman on the left is Mrs More, next to my Gt Grannie Kirsty Millar

Is this lady any relation to Elspeth More? with whom I went to Fortrose Academy with in the Fifties Id love to hear from her again
