Kilt is Ferguson tartan, made by Maureen Macarthur, now Mrs Skinner, a good Rosemarkie lass. Great kilt maker. I still have the kilt, good as the day it was made. Only trouble is my waist has expanded considerably since these days !

Enjoyed speaking to old friend George Skinner the other day by telephone after some 50 years or something like that.great to hear from you Georgie boy.you were just a boy as I remember you all these many years ago.you took over my shift at Alexanders bakery for a while & you were keen on the music playing with local band the renegades reaching dizzy heights wity bluenotes but you decided on better things wise man you did well georgie boy-o.george now lives around the Manchester area.shonny mhor from eilean dubh.alais the Reddigan.

Dear Sheila,at last I have made a contact with Bell's family in Edinburgh.I have been trying for some time,unfortunately my laptop has been out of action for some time,so I have just read your comment.I would dearly like to get in touch with you to catch up on the lost years,I remember your grandmother very well,when she used to visit Fortrose,also your own mother,& your family,I still have the photos Bell sent of you all these years ago.Bell as we knew her as was a wonderful person & have often thought about you all, we should have never lost communication.I beleive you were in Fortrose 2013.Union St is still there,it's a pity you did not look for Alice,my half sister who lives in Fortrose.she's a Mrs Sutherland,I think you might have had correspondence with her son David Sutherland.All my mothers Mackeddie's are gone sadly.Jean was the last to die a few years ago,though there are still a lot of Mackeddie's around.I did not have any children myself sadly, but I guess that's life!!!.I am a single person nowadays.Please get in touch with me Sheila I reside in the village of Strathblane which is in Stirlingshire pc G63 9DH.drop a line I will give you more information!.be lookin' to hear from you.your long lost relative John Reddigan 01/03/2014.

I worked as a solo entertainer for sometime,full time,I worked for John Worth Entertainments of Inverness,& Albert Bonicci agency, Elgin.It took me to Norway to Oslo in fact.I was fortunate to travel from Immingham to Bergen,by rooftop railway from Bergen to Oslo,right across the top of Norway.& I remember thinking how much like Scotland it was.I entertained in a scottish Restaurant.on Karl Johanns gata,originally for a month, I must have gone down ok, as they kept me for another month.It was tough work,you earned your money.I then went to Newfoundland Canada worked at The Dungeon,at the airport Inn in St Johns, managed to get a spot on CBC.Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.As it was burns time of year.I sang A rose bud by my early walk. it was a great experience to be on Telly!!!.that phase was successful.I played in many groups,met some great musicians,Wide Horizions Trio was my best musical experience musically.Tom Cruickshanks accordianist was a great player who taught me a lot, thanks Tom.In music two things you can be either a musician or an entertainer,I was the latter.they were great days.met a lot of fine people who appreciated the music for which I say thanks.
